What gets bookmarked on X (Twitter)?
Short answer
Longer posts a reader can use later. Posts of four or more lines got reliably more bookmarks than the same creator's other posts in 5 of 12 accounts and fewer in none (median +44%); posts over 280 characters in 5 of 12 accounts (median +71%). Questions went the other way: reliably fewer bookmarks in 3 of 12 accounts and more in none (median −55%). Bookmarks are rare to begin with: 70% of the posts got none.
What people keep
Length and format carry the clearest signal, because almost every account has enough long posts to test. How-tos (at least one step, prompt, command or criterion the reader can use without looking further) and own findings (something you measured or tested, plus what it showed) have the largest median gaps, +92% and +274%, but fewer accounts post them often enough to test: they passed in 2 of 8 accounts and 2 of 7 accounts.

What people answer, and do not keep
Questions do their work in the replies, not in the bookmarks. The same question posts that were saved less got reliably more replies in 8 of 13 accounts (see what gets more replies).

What to do with this
Decide per post what it is for. A post meant to be kept needs something to keep: steps, a list, or what you measured, with the room to say it. A post meant to start a conversation can be a short question and will rarely be saved. These are medians over 13 accounts; the Deep Check shows which of them hold for yours.
What this sample is, and what it is not
13 public creator accounts on X, chosen by us, mostly in tech, AI and indie building, with 62 to 3,735 followers (median 1,424). For each we took the newest original posts up to 500 (114 to 499 per account), published between 2 Jan 2026 and 14 Sept 2026, with their public reach, bookmarks and replies. Replies to other posts are left out.
Every account was measured only against its own posts, so a large account cannot outvote a small one. “Reliably higher in 5 of 12 accounts” means the gap passed that account's own test against chance in 5 of the 12 accounts that had enough posts in the group. It is a pattern in these accounts, not a law of X, and it does not prove that the kind of post causes the gap.
Your posts are not the median
The same test runs on your own posts: the free plan reads your latest 50 through the official X API, read-only, and shows whether these groups hold up for you; the Deep Check names every one. About 2 minutes, no payment details.
